“Rebirth”
Years ago, my husband Brandt, my father-in-law Dale, local community members, and myself took on the task to restore the historic Elks Lodge in Downtown Medford, Oregon.
As my husband Brandt and I chipped off mastic from hardwood floors, demolished dropped ceilings and scraped paint off windows with razor blades to uncover this gem of a building, it brought to mind how our journey in life isn't too dissimilar: we must hope in what can be possible even if we can't see it yet.
This process of rebirth is losing what we don't need and claiming what is truly ours, trusting that more will be revealed if we keep walking the path of healing and growth. Rebirth was inspired by the restoration work we’ve collectively done.
